It’s Operation Christmas Child Shoebox dedication Sunday this Sunday. Bring your filled shoeboxes and let’s celebrate how God will use the shoeboxes to impact the life of a child.

Richinda will be making a presentation during the service tomorrow about World Hope Canada’s work in the Ukraine. She will be traveling to the Ukraine on Wednesday and would like to take a carry on suitcase filled with Children’s Tylenol , Children’s Advil and kids multivitamins. She needs the pill form, not the drops. Donated items can be brought to the Church, I will forward them to Richinda. Alternatively, donation envelopes will be available for those who would like to make a financial donation towards the purchase of the medicine/multivitamins.

Branch 212 of the Royal Canadian Legion will be joining us as a we celebrate Remembrance Day as part of the Sunday service. Don’t forget to set your clocks back 1 hour this weekend. And finally the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox dedication will be next Sunday.

Highlights:
The yard sale is on Saturday October 29th from 8 AM to 2 PM. A huge thanks to everyone who has brought stuff in. There are some great finds, come and check it out. Proceeds to support our youth.
Join us for the Connection Cafe following the service. There is no charge for the meal except for a smile for the Pastoral Care Team who are catering the lunch. Desserts are potluck, so bring some extra to share.
Save the date for the Country Christmas Gala with special musical guests “Days of Grace”, Saturday December 10th at 7 PM. More information inside.

Join us for the Indoor Yard Sale on Saturday October 29th 8AM – 2 PM. Proceeds from the sale will support our youth ministries and the youth trip to Kingdom Bound. For those who would like to donate items like gently used housewares, sporting goods, toys, clothing etc. , the Church will be open Tuesday – Friday 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM and on Friday evening from 7-9 PM to drop stuff off. If you have questions, please contact Susi in the Church office.
World Hope Canada is hosting a free dinner on Friday October 28th at Southgate Community Church, more details inside.

Highlights:
The offering received on Sunday for the Benevolent fund will be directed to the Bishop’s Relief Fund. Also the kids will be taking up the Children’s offering to support our two ICCM kids, Anne Sophie Desir and Nasseline Sajous. Both of our sponsored children are in Haiti which was affected by Hurricane Matthew.
Looking for ideas on what to put in an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox? See inside for more suggestions. Samaritan’s Purse has asked that candies not be included in the shoeboxes any longer due to the various countries adding new regulations or enforcing older custom’s regulations.
Lastly, the Indoor Yard Sale will be held on Saturday October 29th from 8AM-2PM. Donations of gently used items will be gratefully received by the youth starting Sunday October 23rd. Proceeds from the sale will support our youth ministries and Kingdom Bound 2017.

KYMTC’s last show of Oklahoma! is at 2 PM today at the Municipal Centre. Proceeds from the show will benefit the youth mental health charity Do it for Daron (DFID)
Help is urgently needed in the Church Nursery. There will be an indoor yard sale at the Church on Saturday October 29th. Proceeds from the sale to support the youth group. Donations of items will be gratefully received at the Church starting on Sunday October 23rd. Finally also RING is looking for drivers for the new Syrian family. More details inside.

Highlights:
Following the service there will be a Corn Roast. We are going to be eating outside weather permitting. Don’t forget to bring your favourite salad or dessert to share. It’s going to be yummy!
The children will be taking up the benevolent offering today in support of our ICCM kids.
Check out the bulletin for details on the Care groups, the groups are starting up soon. Care groups are a wonderful way to deepen your relationship with God. Choose a group and make it a priority to attend.
